This Privacy Notice explains how PressGEO, Inc. ("PressGEO", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares personal data when you visit our website or use our Service. PressGEO acts as the data controller for personal data processed in connection with your account and our Service.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email address, login credentials, organization, role.
- Content you submit: brand names, press releases, vendor data, and any other content you upload or generate in the Service.
- Support & communications: messages you send us and related metadata.
- Usage & device data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referrers, timestamps, and similar telemetry collected via logs and cookies.
- Billing data: processed by Paddle (see below). We receive limited information such as subscription status, plan, last four digits of the card, and country, but not full card numbers.
2. How we use personal data
- To create and operate your account and deliver the Service.
- To process payments, manage subscriptions, and provide receipts.
- To provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- To secure the Service, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms.
- To improve and develop new features.
- To send service announcements and, with your consent or where permitted, marketing communications you can opt out of at any time.
3. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
We rely on the following legal bases under GDPR/UK GDPR:
- Contract: to provide the Service you have signed up for.
- Legitimate interests: to secure, improve, and market our Service in a balanced way.
- Consent: for optional analytics or marketing cookies and emails where required.
- Legal obligation: tax, accounting, and responding to lawful requests.
4. How we share personal data
We share personal data only with the following categories of recipients:
- Merchant of Record — Paddle: Paddle.com Market Limited acts as our Merchant of Record and processes all payments, subscriptions, tax compliance, invoicing, and refunds. See Paddle's privacy policy.
- Service providers / subprocessors: hosting, database, email, analytics, and support tooling vendors who process data on our behalf under contract.
- AI engines used for citation probing: public prompts we send to third-party AI systems (e.g. OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Perplexity) to measure brand visibility do not include your account credentials or private content unless you explicitly submit it.
- Professional advisers: legal, accounting, and similar advisers, under confidentiality.
- Authorities: where required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Successors: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Notice.
5. International transfers
Personal data may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where we or our subprocessors operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
6. Data retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. EEA/UK users may lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through our contact page. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (typically one month under GDPR).

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular reviews to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

We use essential cookies to operate the Service (e.g. authentication and session) and optional analytics cookies to understand usage. You can manage cookie preferences via your browser settings.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
